Updated Website

I am happy to announce the relaunch of JeffTroupeFineArt.com We have been live for nearly two years and we have added some really nice features to make our easy to use online gallery and shop more user friendly. The first update is that when you go to the Shop Original Oils or Archives pages, you will be able to sort through paintings based on subject matter.

We have also added a new section to the website called Archives, which is a collection of our favorite works that have sold in recent years. Now we can have some of my best work all in one place instead of having to sort through old blog entries. We hope you enjoy the updates!

Middle Fork Gold 8"x10"

I got some good news from the Hockaday Museum last week. My little painting Middlefork Gold sold. It was one of my favorites that I painted at the 2017 Plein Air Glacier event. Unlike previous years of Plein Air Glacier, this one took place in the fall so I wanted my work to focus on the vibrant fall color. The best color was found along Montana Highway 2 on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River.

The Middle Fork marks Glacier's southern boundary and is higher in elevation than the dramatic mountain valleys of the park. The colder temps allowed the aspens to peak in brillinace of color in late September which was ealier than much of the park. So this is where I decided to focus my efforts. Check out the show if you haven't yet. The show will be up until December 2nd and there is a lot of great work from many talented artists.

Jeff Troupe studied art at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco where he was introduced to plein air painting. Upon graduation, Troupe worked as a commercial artist working on video games and apps for nearly a decade. In 2014 he relocated to Kalispell to pursue his fine art career. Troupe primarily paints outdoors and strives to bring that vibrancy to his studio work. 2TIM 1:7
